Ongoing empowerment projects include disaster relief for residents and communities of Bowling Green, KY; fight against COVID-19 in both US and Tanzania; orphans care in Tanzania; development of an international cultural center in Bowling Green, KY; and Medical Mission to Tanzania.
Refugees in the United States and most of the vulnerable groups in the Tanzanian communities are hard to reach in different aspects of health promotion and public health awareness.
Due to parental loss or family hardships, hundreds of children in Tanzania live in orphanage homes.

The Winter 2024 CAREUSTZ Medical Mission to Tanzania was a major success. Patients included school children, the general public, orphans, and people living with HIV/AIDS. Summer Mission is set for July 8-19, 2024.
